Dismantling cycles & systems of trauma
Tatiana Duchak, JD, LCPC
Mitigation Specialist & Therapist
A trauma-informed approach to therapy & advocacy
For the past decade, I have worked as a therapist specializing in treating survivors of trauma, including domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood and developmental trauma, incarceration, and other forms of violence. My goal is to inspire hope and provide a safe place for survivors from all walks of life to process, make sense of, and heal from their past experiences.
I became an attorney to improve my ability and effectiveness as a zealous advocate for those in need. Given the interconnected nature of trauma and legal issues, I am passionate about trauma-informed lawyering and creating a supportive network for those interacting with the criminal justice system. Using my clinical background, I often consult with lead attorneys on the prevalence and impact of mental health concerns related to their client or pending case. I also accept referrals from lawyers and others who feel their clients could use additional support.
I offer in-person sessions in Westmont, IL and proudly serve clients all over Illinois via telehealth.
